A post about Belle

This time last year, we thought we were taking Jordan home from the NICU. We were so disappointed that she was going to be there for at least another day that we just didn't know what to do with ourselves. We brought Memere to the NICU to visit with us that day and getting the news with her there is probably the only thing that held us together. On the up side, Jordan was ambulatory. We were able to visit her in a family room and could have more than 2 people with her.
All morning, I've been reliving that day. I look over at my beautiful 1 year old, walking around, playing with toys and eating everything she sees and think about how lucky we are to have her and how complete she's made our lives in such a short time.

1st post. What this blog is about....

First things first. I'm an awful blogger. This is my attempt to blog and remember all the things that are going along with ttc baby #2.

DH and I didn't prevent after Belly was born, but didn't actively start trying for number 2 (here on out called pb2 - phantom baby 2) until July. In September I went to the OBs office to discuss the possibility of 2IF and left with a plan to have testing done in February if I wasn't pregnant by then. Nature had slightly different plans. My cycle started in September, but didn't end until December, so the OB sent me to the RE right away.

I like the RE. I base this on a 30 minute conversation and the fact that he 1) has a cute kid, 2) understood that DH is 1/2 Japanese and that our child/future children would possibly have Asian features and 3) came up with a plan for us.
Our plan, if all the tests came back normal (which they did) was to have a monitored natural cycle and then discuss adding medications to better control my cycles.
The day after we met with him, I had an u/s, b/w and DH had a SA - all the results were normal. A week after we met with him, I had an HSG. It was normal. The cramps were awful during the procedure, but after I was up and about I felt fine.

At this point, everything looks fine. My body is doing everything it's supposed to and I don't have anything else scheduled until the 30th.

Here's hoping everything works out in the end!
